Why patients trust Freedman & Haas for Invisalign

Not every orthodontist offers the same level of Invisalign training. Dr. Freedman is a participant in the Dayan Invisalign Masterclass Series, an advanced clinical program focused on treating complex Invisalign cases — the kind that many providers refer out or decline to treat with aligners at all.

Together, Dr. Freedman and Dr. Haas have helped hundreds of patients across Palm Beach County achieve straighter, healthier smiles using Invisalign — for teens, adults, and children as young as 6. When you choose Freedman & Haas, you’re not just choosing clear aligners. You’re choosing the clinical expertise to use them well.

How Invisalign Works

Your Invisalign® treatment, step by step

Step 1 — Free consultation You meet with Dr. Freedman or Dr. Haas to discuss your smile goals and determine whether Invisalign is the right option for your teeth, bite, and lifestyle. No X-rays required at this stage, and there’s no cost.

Step 2 — 3D digital scan If you’re a candidate, we take a precise digital scan of your teeth — no messy impressions. This scan is used to create a custom treatment plan that maps the exact movement of your teeth from start to finish. You can see your projected results before treatment even begins.

Step 3 — Custom aligners are made Your aligners are manufactured specifically for your teeth. Each set is designed to apply gentle, controlled force to shift your teeth gradually into their ideal position.

Step 4 — Wear and progress check-ins You wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks, then switch to the next. You’ll visit our office roughly every 6–8 weeks — about 30% fewer visits than traditional braces — so your doctor can confirm your treatment is progressing as planned.

Step 5 — Retainers and results Once your final aligner is complete, you’ll transition to retainers to keep your new smile in place. Most patients complete treatment in 12–18 months, depending on case complexity.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Invisalign®works best for patients looking to correct mild to moderate alignment issues. Dr. Freedman and Dr. Haas commonly treat:

  • Crowded teeth — when there isn’t enough space for teeth to sit properly
  • Gapped teeth — spaces between teeth caused by missing teeth or jaw growth patterns
  • Overbite — upper front teeth overlap significantly over the lower front teeth
  • Underbite — lower teeth sit in front of upper teeth when biting
  • Open bite — upper and lower teeth don’t meet when biting down
  • Crossbite — some upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth

Our practice also treats cases that fall outside the typical Invisalign comfort zone — complex bite issues that many orthodontic offices handle only with traditional braces.

If you’re unsure whether your case qualifies, the free consultation is the right first step. There’s no obligation, and you’ll leave with a clear answer.

Invisalign vs. Braces

Invisalign vs. traditional braces — how do they compare?

Invisalign Metal Braces
Visibility Nearly invisible Highly visible
Removable Yes No
Food restrictions None Many
Office visits Every 6–8 weeks Every 4–6 weeks
Oral hygiene Brush and floss normally Requires special tools
Comfort Smooth, no wires Can cause irritation
Treatment time 12–18 months (avg.) 18–24 months (avg.)
Best for Mild to complex cases All case types

The right choice depends on your specific bite, lifestyle, and treatment goals. Dr. Freedman and Dr. Haas will walk you through both options during your free consultation and recommend what makes the most clinical sense for your situation.

Invisalign for Teens

Teenagers have specific needs when it comes to orthodontic treatment: they want results, but they don’t want to feel self-conscious during the process. Invisalign for Teens® was designed with exactly that in mind.

Using the same precision aligner technology as adult treatment, Invisalign for Teens creates a series of custom-designed, virtually invisible aligners that guide your teenager’s teeth into proper alignment — without the brackets, wires, or diet restrictions that come with traditional braces.

Benefits of Invisalign for Teens

Invisalign is the most widely used clear aligner system in the world — and for good reason. Here’s what sets it apart from traditional braces:

  • Virtually invisible. The aligners are made from clear, BPA-free SmartTrack material. Most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.
  • Removable. Take your aligners out to eat, brush, and floss. No food restrictions, no struggling to clean around wires, and no increased risk of cavities during treatment.
  • More comfortable. Without metal brackets or wires, there’s nothing to irritate your cheeks or gums. Aligners are smooth, custom-fitted, and designed for all-day wear.
  • Fewer office visits. Invisalign patients typically visit 30% less often than traditional braces patients — a meaningful difference for busy schedules.
  • Better oral health during treatment. Since you remove aligners to brush and floss normally, you’re far less likely to develop the gum inflammation or tooth decay that can occur with fixed braces.
  • Confidence from day one. Because aligners are nearly invisible, most patients feel comfortable wearing them at work, school, and social events from the very first day.

How much does Invisalign cost in West Palm Beach?

Invisalign treatment at Freedman & Haas typically ranges from $3,500 to $7,000, depending on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. Simple cases tend to fall toward the lower end; complex bite corrections trend higher.

Does insurance cover Invisalign? Many dental and orthodontic insurance plans that cover traditional braces will also cover Invisalign, often at the same benefit level — typically $1,000–$2,000. Our team will verify your coverage before your treatment begins.

Flexible payment options are available. We offer in-house payment plans that spread the cost of treatment over monthly installments with no surprises. We also work with third-party financing options to fit a range of budgets.

Using Invisalign for Kids in Phase 1 Treatment

As your child grows, their smile grows with them. And even if your child still has most of their baby teeth, the perfect time for them to start orthodontic treatment may be when they’re 6 – 10 years old.

This treatment period is known as Phase 1. At this stage, orthodontists like Dr. Freedman and Dr. Haas can see issues that may need early treatment to address a developing problem.
